The first thing international students &/or professionals look for when pursuing higher education is world-class universities worldwide. Eventually, you would want the best academic credentials as this will widely open doors for you career wise especially now and going forward. If you want to advance in your career and get higher pay, you will need a very good university and a minimum of a master degree depending of course on your area of interest and your career aspirations.
Universities will rank based on certain factors including the subject you want to study, region, country, quality of teaching (professors), academic reputation and research performance. As per statistics, USA remains the world’s leading destination for international students followed by UK.
Below are some links that show you top universities rankings worldwide. You can filter your research by region, country, and faculty. They also tell you the university’s admission requirements, fees, scholarships, visas, local life and more. Check them out.
There is no scarcity of educational institutions worldwide. The choice of universities/colleges will also depend on your preferences, personal circumstances, your educational level, budget, visas, and what you want to achieve in the future among other things. Studying in a university that is ranked way below in the list will not make you any less in my opinion. Education is education, but you might need to work harder to prove yourself to your employer unless you want to be self-employed.
Education is a no regret investment and you should not think twice about it but my only advice is search well the universities in your preferred destination or worldwide in every aspect and then decide if it is worth going to that university or go for another one.
If you have any feedback or comment, I would love to hear from you.
